Our aim
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard used across the EU, and we check new work against it as we build.
On the website
- Every page uses headings and landmarks in order, with a link to skip straight to the content.
- Everything works with a keyboard, and you can always see where you are.
- The app screens shown on the website are built from real text, not pictures, so screen readers can read them and they stay sharp when you zoom.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, the animations are switched off.
- Every page can be read without JavaScript. Only the demo form needs it, and it says so.
- The tour video has music but no speech, and screen readers get a written description of every scene.
In the app
- Forms have labels, and errors are explained in words, not only in colour.
- Pages, dialogs and menus can be used with a keyboard.
- The figures behind charts are also available in tables and in Excel or CSV exports.
- You can zoom the browser to 200% and keep using the app.
What is not yet right
- Some charts, such as the nine-box grid and the performance curve, show information visually. The same figures are in the reports and exports, but the charts themselves are hard to follow with a screen reader.
- Some large tables are hard to use on a small screen.
- Exported PDF documents are not yet fully tagged for screen readers.
We are working on these. We have not yet had an independent accessibility audit.
