Features

Everything a review cycle needs

Performance, feedback, development and succession planning, connected in one place your people can trust.

One cycle for the whole company

Every person, KPI, review and rating for the year in one place, with every change recorded and each year kept.

KPIs at five levels

Group, company, department, team and individual KPIs, each set with weights that total 100%.

Behaviour and growth

Competencies for everyone, by position or for one person, rated by the employee and the manager.

Every rating in one view

Individual KPIs and behaviour combine into one final rating per person, worded on your own rating scale.

Reports and the nine-box

Performance and potential across the company, exported to Excel or to a PDF anyone can verify.

Development and succession

Development plans, training and successors for key roles, right next to each person's results.

How it works

Your review cycle, streamlined

Five steps from setting KPIs to paying the bonus, each one recorded.

Step 1

Set KPIs at every level

Start with the company and departments, then each person. A set of KPIs can only be saved once its weights add up to 100%, and the same KPIs can go to several people at once.

  • Group, company, department, team and individual
  • Individual KPIs linked to the levels above
Step 2

Agree them before they count

The employee and the manager both accept each KPI. After that, a change needs the other side to agree, so nobody is measured on something they never saw.

  • Suggest a change instead of accepting
  • Every change kept on record
Step 3

Score each period

Results go in period by period, quarterly or however your cycle runs. A closed period locks, so last quarter stays exactly as it was.

  • Results compared with each target
  • Reminders before each deadline
Step 4

Review side by side

Self and manager scores sit side by side and can be averaged into the final score. Behaviour and growth are reviewed the same way, then combined into each person's overall rating.

  • Comments on every KPI and competency
  • Approvers sign off at the end
Step 5

Rate and reward fairly

Your performance curve turns results against target into scores, and your bonus split shares out the target bonus. The same rules apply to everyone, and anyone can see how a figure was reached.

  • Bonus splits per person, position or role
  • Exports to Excel and verifiable PDFs
Who it's for

Made for everyone in the review

Each person sees what concerns them and does their part, so the cycle keeps moving without chasing.

HR and people teams

  • Run the whole cycle from one place
  • Import people, teams and competencies from Excel
  • Reminders go out before each deadline

Managers

  • See your people's KPIs and reviews in one list
  • Score beside each person's own view
  • Sign off when the cycle closes

Employees

  • See exactly what you are measured on
  • Agree your KPIs before they count
  • Rate yourself and add comments

Directors and finance

  • Ratings and bonuses worked out the same way for everyone
  • The nine-box and reports across the company
  • Exports to Excel and PDFs anyone can verify
Highly customisable

Shaped around how your organisation works

No two organisations run performance the same way. nQX Talent adapts to your structure, your rules and your language, so the system fits you instead of the other way round.

  • Choose the KPI levels you use, how they are weighted and how often you review
  • Your own rating scales, competencies, performance curve and bonus splits
  • One assessor or several for each person, counted the way you decide
  • Roles that decide who sees and does what, modules you switch on, your logo and colours

What is nQX Talent?

nQX Talent is an integrated talent management system that connects performance, feedback, development and succession planning to help organisations develop their people and strengthen organisational capability.

Who is it for?

Organisations of every size and in any industry: HR and people teams who run the cycle, managers who score and develop their people, employees who agree their KPIs and rate themselves, and leaders who want ratings and bonuses worked out the same way for everyone.

Can we set it up to match how we work?

Yes. nQX Talent is highly customisable. You choose which KPI levels you use and how they are weighted, your rating scales, competencies, review periods, performance curve and bonus splits, how self-assessment counts, the modules you switch on, who sees and does what through roles, and your own logo and colours.

Can more than one person assess an employee?

Yes. An employee can have several assessors, for example their manager and a project lead. You decide how many are allowed, whether the direct manager is always one of them, and whether every assessor's score counts in the final average or only the primary assessor's.

Can we bring in our existing appraisal spreadsheet?

Yes. People, teams and competencies import from Excel or CSV templates, and every row is checked before anything is saved.

How are the final rating and the bonus worked out?

Each person's final rating is the average of their individual KPIs and their behaviour scores. The bonus is shared across group, company, department, team and individual KPIs and behaviour by a bonus split you set per person, position or role, and the performance curve turns results against target into scores.

Who can see which KPIs and ratings?

People see their own. Managers and assessors see the people they review, department and team KPIs reach only the people they concern, and administrators decide everything else through roles. Every change is recorded.

Does nQX Talent cover job evaluation?

No. Job evaluation is done in nQX Value, part of the same nQX people intelligence platform, at value.nqxplatform.com.

How much does it cost?

Pricing depends on the size of your organisation. Book a demo and we will send you a quote.

A one-minute film of nQX Talent, built from panels of the app itself: KPIs at every level, agreed by both sides, scored each period, self and manager reviews, ratings turned into fair bonuses, and everything around them, shaped to how your organisation works.

  1. nQX Talent on a laptop and a phone. The laptop shows Nicole Pace's KPIs in Performance Review, each accepted by both her and her manager, their weights totalling 100%. On the phone, Nicole sees her own rating, Exceeded, 4.19 out of 5, and her bonus.
  2. Performance reviews without the spreadsheet. Built to develop people and grow organisations.
  3. Copied tabs. Broken formulas. Lost versions.
  4. Introducing nQX Talent: performance, feedback, development and succession in one system.
  5. Set KPIs at every level. Daniel Farrugia, a manager, goes from the company to the department, team and individual KPIs, adds an objective for Nicole, Coach two new joiners through onboarding, with a weight of 20%, and her weights reach 100%.
  6. Agree them, together. The new objective waits for Nicole; she accepts it, and it is accepted by both.
  7. Score every period. The first three quarters are locked with their scores. Daniel scores the fourth quarter 5, Exceptional, confirms the change and saves it, and Nicole's KPI score moves from 4.15 to 4.19 out of 5.
  8. Self and manager reviews, side by side. Nicole rates her behaviours 4.33 and Daniel 4.11, which gives 4.22. Each competency shows both scores for every quarter, with a comment, and her overall rating is Exceeded, 4.19 out of 5.
  9. Turn ratings into fair bonuses. The performance curve sets what each result earns, and a bonus target of 10,000 euro turns Nicole's scores into a payout of 8,664.58 euro.
  10. And everything around it: the nine-box, reports with PDF and Excel exports, PDFs anyone can verify, development plans and training, succession, imports checked before anything is saved, several assessors for one person, modules switched on to suit you, and roles that decide who sees what.
